Hana-to-Mizu

Naruyoshi Kikuchi is a famous Japanese musician who led the Japanese jazz world. As well as being a musician, he worked as a part-time university instructor. Hana is Japanese for flower, and Mizu means water. We used these items to express this dual achievement: one has a shape and one doesn’t. The flower is a strong pink to illustrate its dramatic colour when compared with water.
