That's Opera - 200 Years of Italian Music
For the 200th anniversary of the famous Ricordi Archive, the aim of this exhibition was to stage not only the history of the Ricordi Company, but also the world of opera. The exhibition had to attract music enthusiasts as well as a worldwide audience, which may not necessarily be familiar with opera. The exhibition makes opera accessible in an unconventional way: it showsthe genesis of an opera (libretto, partitura, scenografia, voci e costumi and rappresentazione) in individually designed cubes, embedded in a backstage ambience. The visitor participates in the staging and discovers its complexity step by step. Opera can be experienced as a total artwork.
