Churchward International Typefaces
The first steps towards the publication ‘Churchward International Typefaces’ were taken in 2005, when David Bennewith came into contact with the Samoan-born typeface designer Joseph Churchward. Four years later, the outcome of David’s research has been gathered in this book. It tells the story of the researcher’s journey, from his first attempt to contact the type designer to the many packages he received from Churchward by post, as well as the correspondence with Churchward’s daughter Marianna.
