This book, published to mark the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany, assembles the essays compiled by Michael Rudolf and Jürgen Roth in the daily paper Taz. They present arguments for the claim "We have to reduce the number of the federal states!", made by the parliamentary chairman of the SPD, Peter Struck. The cover design is reminiscent of old election posters, reflecting the book’s manifesto-like character. Important elements, like the foreword and a blank petition form, appear on the cover itself.
