What is New Blood?

Every year in June we showcase the best final year graduates from our University Network in exhibition in London.  Find out more about our network here. New Blood showcases the best graduates from graphic design, visual communication, advertising, digital media, illustration, photography and other commercial creative arts – all in one place. This year we are very happy to be in the middle of Shoreditch at the Old Truman Brewery. We are joining forces with and running as part of the Free Range season.

What is the New Blood Festival?

New Blood is extending and putting on a festival with ‘networking’ as the hot topic. The festival will include exciting events hosted by Design, Digital and Advertising agencies in the area, all in the hope of introducing graduates to the breadth and diverse potential future employers. Read our festival update. Students will be able to meet and greet the creative professionals at each host agency and take advantage of each unique event. Students will need to register online for each individual event. For further information please contact katie.huggins@dandad.co.uk

What is Free Range?

Free Range runs from the 4 June to the 26 July 2010 and is an annual Old Truman Brewery project set up to support new creative talent. Find out more here.

What is Best New Blood?

Best New Blood is essentially the best work on show each year at New Blood. Creative professionals judge which stand, team or individual showcase the Best New Blood based on the following criteria: ‘Outstanding creative ideas, that are well executed and well presented.’  The focus here is on work that is exhibited excellently. Great work is not enough. It needs to have stand out qualityand be displayed in a way that makes it easy to view and easy to identify and contact its creator. Judges also have the opportunity to nominate additional people who they consider excellent; who are offered the opportunity to take part in our Graduate Placement Scheme.

Who will be at New Blood?

Graduates from more than 50 different courses from the UK’s top Universities are exhibiting at New Blood. The hottest new creative talent will be showcasing their work to the creative industry. And of course creative professionals scouting for the next big thing!
